SMS Consent & Opt-In

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Risker is a service of Blue Sky Services LLC (“Blue Sky,” “Risker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This page documents exactly how a consumer opts in to receive text messages from Risker, and reproduces the consent wording shown in the product.

1. Program summary

  • Program name — Risker Agent Match (transactional).
  • Who is messaged — only a consumer who submitted an insurance request on Risker and checked the opt-in box below.
  • What is sent — a one-time verification code, match-status updates for the request the consumer submitted, and a request to approve one named licensed insurance agency before that agency receives any contact details.
  • Frequency — Message frequency varies; typically 1 to 4 messages per request.
  • Cost — Risker does not charge for messages. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Not marketing — Risker does not send promotional or marketing text messages, and consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Help and opt-out — reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

2. Where consumers sign up (call to action)

The only place a consumer can opt in is the Risker consumer request form:

https://risker.com/marketplace/request

The page is public. No account, login, payment, or invitation is required to reach it or to complete the opt-in step. Consumers arrive from Risker marketing pages and from a licensed agent who gives them the link. Risker never uploads, buys, or imports phone numbers, and never messages a number that did not complete this form.

3. Message flow, step by step

  1. The consumer opens https://risker.com/marketplace/request and selects the kind of insurance help they need.
  2. Opt-in step. The consumer types their own mobile number and must check the unchecked consent box reproduced in section 4. The “Text me a verification code” button stays disabled until the box is checked, so no message can be triggered without it.
  3. Risker sends a one-time verification code by SMS to that number. The consumer enters the code to prove the number is theirs, then completes the request details.
  4. Risker matches the request to licensed insurance agencies and sends match-status messages about that request.
  5. Before any agency receives contact details, the consumer must approve one specific named agency — either on the web approval screen (section 5) or by replying YES to the authorization message in section 6.
  6. The consumer may reply STOP at any point to end all messages, or HELP for support.

4. The opt-in checkbox, exactly as shown

The box below is a non-functional reproduction of the live control on https://risker.com/marketplace/request. It is unchecked by default in the product; it is never pre-checked, and the consent language is not bundled with any other agreement.

Mobile phone
+1 602 555 0123
Text me a verification code (disabled until the box is checked)

5. Named-agency approval, exactly as shown

Before any licensed agency receives the consumer's contact details, the consumer sees the agency's name and this separate, also-unchecked box:

6. Sample messages

  • Verification code— sent through Twilio Verify immediately after the box in section 4 is checked, using that service's template: “Your Risker verification code is: 123456”
  • Named-agency authorization: “Risker: Desert Sun Insurance would like to connect you with Copper State Agency, a licensed insurance agency in AZ, about your Auto coverage. Reply YES to approve this connection. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Msg&data rates may apply.”
  • Match status: “Risker: we couldn't connect you right away — a local licensed agent will reach out shortly. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Msg&data rates may apply.”
  • HELP reply: “Risker connects you with a licensed insurance agent. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Support: support@risker.com”
  • STOP reply: “You are unsubscribed from Risker messages and will not be contacted again. Reply HELP for help.”

7. Opting out

Reply STOP, STOPALL, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE to any Risker message to be removed immediately; Risker also honors plain-language requests such as “do not text me.” Opting out ends every Risker message and also withdraws consent for any pending agency connection. Reply HELP for help, or email support@risker.com. Message and data rates may apply.

8. Privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy and the SMS program terms in the Terms of Service.
